The first time you earn more than $1,620 after your Trial Work Period, you enter a Grace Period. The Grace Period lasts three months. This could be during your Extended Period of Eligibility or after.

The first month you earn more than $1,620, you will still receive your SSDI check, but this is your first Grace Period month. You will also receive your SSDI check for the following two months no matter how much you earn.

If you earn more than $1,620 during your Extended Period of Eligibility: After the three Grace Period months, you can continue to get your SSDI check any month you earn less than $1,620 while you are in your Extended Period of Eligibility. Your SSDI benefit will end the first time you earn more than $1,620 after your Extended Period of Eligibility.

If the first time you earn more than $1,620 is after your Extended Period of Eligibility: Your SSDI check will end after your third Grace Period month even if you are no longer earning more than $1,620.
