Special Conditions are items or support from someone other than the employee or employer; usually, that’s a job coach from an outside agency.
If you have a Special Condition, you can find the value of it and deduct it from your earnings. To find the value, you can multiple your hourly wage by the number of hours of job coaching you get.
For example, let’s say you earn $20/hour and have 10 hours of job coaching each month. 20x10=200, so the value of your Special Condition is $200/month. You can deduct this from your countable income.
To use this work incentive, you will need documentation showing how many hours of job coaching you receive. This can be a letter from your job coach or a copy of your employment plan.
